The third concert of the invited choirs component of Paisley’s Spring Sing is provided by the Main Street Singers, a 32-strong mixed voice chamber choir, from the Los Altos High School in California, on tour in Scotland and performing in Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Oban as well as Paisley.
The choir, directed by Mark Andrew Schaull, sets itself very high standards and performs music ranging from Renaissance to Contemporary at over a hundred concerts annually. So we’re extremely pleased they’re including Paisley in their tour schedule and look forward to their very varied programme of music by Byrd, Britten, Rutter, Nelybel, Whitacre and others, in the beautiful surroundings of Paisley Abbey.
