2010 marks the 30th anniversary of Thomas Coats Memorial Choral Society, and to celebrate this special occasion, we are giving a performance of Verdi's Requiem.
Once again, the choir will be joined by soloists from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and, for this concert, the orchestra will be provided by RSAMD too.
The Requiem needs little introduction. It is one of Verdi's greatest masterpieces, an abiding legacy of the late nineteenth century and one of the works all choral societies aspire to perform.
This is a great opportunity to hear some poweful music in the beautiful setting of Coats Memorial Church.

Rebecca Afonwy-Jones (mezzo-soprano)
Jung Soo Yun (tenor)
Michel de Souza (bass)
The singers are accompanied by the RSAMD Symphony Orchestra
